Who We Are?
As the owners of Riverview Rise Retreats, Wink and Michael Chorney designed and built these modern facilities with one single objective - to provide you with a special place for a memorable experience in absolute luxury and privacy. Just read the Guest Comments and you will note that our clients love the place, in fact, most have re-booked for another visit.
The retreats are a culmination of our life's work and a long history in Design. I am a two time Australian Design Award Winner for outstanding design excellence for some of Australia's most prestigious house boats and river cruisers. I also worked for many years as a set designer on numerous Australian and American movies. Wink and I collaborate on all of our design projects whether it be Architectural or interior design so it is not by chance that we achieved 5 Star Rating status on your retreats which we held for a total of 8 years. You will find that Wink is the Public face of Riverview Rise Retreats and you will inevitably be talking to her at some stage regarding your reservation | TOP
The Architecture
The architecture of your Rretreat is contemporary rural with huge verandas protecting you from the weather. It is designed to maximize ergonomic comfort, ecological sustainability and the business as such operates on a Carbon Neutral basis.
Internally your retreat is of a studio style creating an ambience of opulent spaciousness. The interior design aims squarely at your luxury and comfort. A careful selection of fabrics, colours and textures offer luxury without pretence while Magnificent Murray River views are picture framed by large glass doors looking out over your private BBQ balcony. Imagine all this while cocooned in the privacy of your retreat. To top it off original art works, total blackout curtains, therapeutic spa and in-house cinema set the atmosphere for a memorable experience of total indulgence and relaxation.

The Property
For those of you who wish to venture outside of your retreat, we have a number or things to do and see on the property.
We have a wonderful walking trail that meanders around the river escarpment for around half a kilometre. A nice walk with extraordinary views, many native plants, sculptures and lots of places to sit and contemplate. Our open air gallery is free for all guests to browse around our collection of water sculptures and fountains.
If you like animals, Wink will happily introduce you to her large collection of god's creatures great and small. Kangaroos, emus, chooks, Nicky the horse and many others.
If by chance you enjoy model aero planes, don't hesitate to ask Michael to show you his collection. There is always a new one on the building table and weather permitting he may take you out for a fly | TOP
